38.000 miliardi di batteri, oltre un certo numero di funghi, archeobatteri, protozoi e anche virus.<sup>1<\/sup> Nel loro insieme prendono il nome di <strong>microbiota<\/strong>, definito come \u201cl\u2019insieme dei microrganismi che in maniera fisiologica, o talvolta patologica, vivono in simbiosi con il corpo umano\u201d. <sup>1<\/sup> La maggior parte dei costituenti del nostro microbiota si trova nell&#8217;intestino e solo una piccola parte risiede all\u2019interno dello stomaco. <sup>2<\/sup><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-4eef16e\" data-id=\"4eef16e\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Nel corso degli ultimi anni gli \u00e8 stato attribuito un ruolo sempre maggiore nella regolazione dell\u2019attivit\u00e0 metabolica dell\u2019organismo, ma non solo, infatti sembra che il microbiota influenzi anche il cervello, ad esempio agendo sui nostri stati psicologici. <sup>1<\/sup> Ha anche un ruolo nello sviluppo del sistema immunitario, soprattutto nei bambini. <sup>1<\/sup> Il sistema immunitario intestinale si \u00e8 evoluto per coesistere con i trilioni di batteri che compongono il microbiota.<sup>3<\/sup><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-2137a42 elementor-section-full_width elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"2137a42\" class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Tuttavia, la composizione del nostro microbiota \u00e8 costantemente messa in discussione dal passaggio di alimenti e altri prodotti commestibili: i diversi cibi, circa 60 tonnellate nel corso della nostra vita, di ogni forma, dimensione, contenuto, ben cotti, al sangue o crudi, costringono il nostro microbiota ad adattarsi. <sup>2<\/sup> Inoltre, l&#8217;alterazione del microbiota intestinale, dovuta ad esempio all&#8217;uso di antibiotici nelle prime fasi della vita, sembra possa causare malattie infiammatorie intestinali.<sup>3<\/sup> Infatti, gli antibiotici, normalmente utilizzati per uccidere i batteri che causano malattie, possono interferire in modo significativo con la flora batterica del nostro intestino, portando a cambiamenti persistenti del nostro sistema di difesa e coinvolgendo soprattutto specifiche cellule chiamate macrofagi.<sup>3<\/sup><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-10a5e68 antibiotici, pu\u00f2 portare a cambiamenti persistenti del sistema immunitario intestinale, che comporta una <strong>maggiore suscettibilit\u00e0 alle infezioni e all&#8217;infiammazione<\/strong>. <sup>3<\/sup><\/p><p>Da uno stato di equilibrio, chiamato <strong>eubiosi,<\/strong> si pu\u00f2 passare, quindi, alla condizione di disequilibrio, o di <strong>disbiosi<\/strong>, che pu\u00f2 essere causata da: <sup>1<\/sup><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0ecde4f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" utile?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-9459925 elementor-section-full_width elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"9459925\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>L\u2019<strong>acido butirrico <\/strong>\u00e8 una molecola appartenente alla famiglia degli acidi grassi a catena corta, o SCFA (<em>Short-chain fatty acids<\/em>), che possono essere prodotti dai batteri residenti nell\u2019intestino a partire dalle fibre presenti nella dieta.<sup>3<\/sup> Alcuni studi hanno dimostrato che l&#8217;ossidazione di questi prodotti, come il butirrato, fornisce all&#8217;intestino un&#8217;importante fonte di energia.<sup>2<\/sup> \u00c8 anche noto che gli SCFA siano responsabili degli effetti del microbiota sulle cellule del sistema immunitario; l\u2019uso degli antibiotici diminuisce i livelli di acido butirrico (o dei suoi sali, i butirrati) nell\u2019intestino, riduzione prolungata anche nella fase di ricolonizzazione da parte dei batteri che segue la terapia antibiotica.<sup>3<\/sup><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element Svolge anche un ruolo importante nel microbiota intestinale e di conseguenza a livello del sistema immunitario.<sup>5<\/sup><\/p><p>Sembra, infatti, che sia proprio la glutammina a consentire la <strong>comunicazione tra la flora batterica intestinale e il sistema immunitario<\/strong>.
